Some Scarlet in SF

And because I know many of my readers are really just here looking for the one and only Scarlet Aika....

those CHEEKS!

It's so fun to watch as the toys are starting to catch her interest!

Mom's playing with photography tricks again!

Green Drinks --> Head's Up!

Last week, during our visit to SF, we had a lovely dinner party (many thanks to the Warlicht's camping table and chairs to extend the otherwise humble seating arrangements here!)  The evening started as you might expect: with Scarlet making the rounds of loving and willing arms...

While the rest of the troops worked together to put on our feast...

... whilst being slyly stalked by the one and only Yori-chan.

(The green beverages - our willing nod to St. Patrick's Day - may have hurried along the antics that would compose the subsequent shenanigans...)

Scarlet went to bed, we enjoyed our dinner, and then commenced the "Heads Up" (a charades app) segment of the evening...

Best part of this app, however, is that it captures video...

Apologies for the heinous lighting and my overly loud voice, but this still makes me giggle, particularly Heng's awesome sumo wresting and Neil fielding Yoriko...

A Marvelous Milwaukee Weekend

When Kei came to visit this weekend, we changed it up a bit and got a hotel in Milwaukee.  While, truth-be-told, much of our time was spent hanging in the room in our pajamas (which was marvelous), we also made it to Magdalenne's "Frozen" birthday party (though sadly the camera was left behind...) and checked out the Milwaukee Art Museum - a great weekend!

I'll keep commentary to a minimum and let the shots of Miss Scarlet Aika do the talking...

Nom Nom Nom.

"I got this one wrapped around my finger."  Yes, yes you do.

Mother-daughter dual contemplations.
Story Time in Person!!

Even a good sport reaches her max sometimes.  Cue our exit!

Good Sport

As the days and weeks tick by (9 weeks today!  I can hardly believe it!!), Scarlet has been dutifully growing, increasingly smiling, and apparently developing her willingness to be a good sport.  Thus far, she's been very willing to snuggle with our visitors - as you've seen in previous posts - and she also put on quite an adorable show when we went to meet Great Grandma Mleziva.  Not only did she willingly snuggle yet again, but also, when we joined a happy hour/sing-a-long put on by the home where Great Grandma is staying, she sat on my lap and really hammed it up.  She appeared to be positively thrilled - eyes bright, smiling, and squealing in delight over the whole scene.  Suffice to say, she was quite a hit.

Additionally, our little girl is continually finding herself face-to-face with a camera - particularly when her mother is practicing settings and tricks with the Nikon... while the photographer is still learning, the subject has "freaking adorable" pretty much nailed.
